Don’t skip lunch
According to a recent survey, nearly half of workers eat lunch at their desk and more than 1 in 10 admit they do it to impress their boss. Yet every efficiency expert will tell you that workers are more productive if they take a lunch break. ‘Taking a break from work has many benefits,’ says behavioural and work ethic expert Karen Meager. ‘Switching your mind away from work to something different allows you to refresh your perspective, making you more effective later.’ You need to take breaks to work to your best ability and it’s that which will impress the boss. Besides, no one likes a martyr.
