Volvo Debuts EC210D In Nepal

Building on a strong tradition of fuel efficiency and productivity, the Volvo EC210D crawler excavator is now available in Nepal. This machine is equipped with a range of features to ensure a superior performance, shift after shift. Volvo’s new EC210D excavator is not only more powerful than its predecessor EC210B, but also has up to 10 per cent improved fuel economy.

This increased power and efficiency is likely to prove popular with construction companies in Nepal, where the machine has recently launched. According to the Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN), the construction industry is responsible for up to 10 per cent of the country’s GDP and accounts for 35 per cent of government spending.

“Nepal government is planning a series of road building and infrastructure developments, while the hydro power industry is a strong and fast-developing business sector. Contractors are looking for good quality and reliable equipment to help them meet increasingly tight construction schedules. With its 20-ton rating, the Volvo EC210D is a versatile machine that is perfect for a range of applications, from construction and quarry work, through to hydro power projects and irrigation jobs,” said Peh Jing Peng, Business Director for Nepal, Volvo CE.
