How To Create A Growth Mindset?

Leading a company has always been an enormous task irrespective of its size, number of employees or sector. Business leaders help the company reach its full potential and a leader is as good as his team. For a company to truly flourish, it is important that its employees believe in the vision created by the leader. Employees are the most valuable assets for any organisation. They must want to come in everyday to work, with their best foot forward and explore avenues for professional growth.

Mindsets undoubtedly have an impact on the morale and performance in the workplace. Conflicting mindsets tend to create an unpleasant work environment; they affect productivity, interpersonal relationships at workplace and therefore, impact in achieving the business goals.

In a fixed mindset, employees believe they have a specific skillset and consider it as their professional limit. They do not take proactive steps to improve or upskill themselves to stay up to date. It not only stagnates their development but also hinders the organisations’ growth.

A good leader will be able to align the entire workforce to help them function together to achieve individual and company goals. A growth-oriented mindset must be cultivated among the employees for business growth and sustenance. This is not an easy feat to achieve as it requires a good understanding of people and what drives them.

How can a good leader convince people to work for the goals for the company? Today’s young workforce does not depend on traditional incentives such as bonuses or hikes. Millennials look for opportunities that will help them consistently strive, learn and experiment new things and meet their self-actualisation needs.
