Lockdown was difficult for many people, and for some it was very hard, and tragic losses were felt in many communities. We were very fortunate not to be affected, our only real inconvenience being that while we had one of the best springs ever, we couldn’t use our boat. We kept in contact with the other Marex owners via our WhatsApp group and waited for the all-clear from the Government. When this arrived, the fair-weather was still with us and a call from Silver Lining Marex 310 owners Keith and Jane (who are based in Poole) to view the cruise ships stationed in Weymouth Bay was taken up, and a date set in the diary. We have done many cruises on both large and small ships, and a chance to see five in one place was too good to miss, especially as we had cruised on three of them.
Having given Offshore a very thorough clean inside and out, and on the previous day given her a little shakedown run around Christchurch Bay, we set off to rendezvous with Silver Lining just off Old Harry Rocks.
