Just as I was ready to begin sorting some of the 15 years’ worth of jobs that I said I would do, the phone rang and I was asked if I could go out to work for Transam for a couple of days, then AOT the following week. Those jobs would have to wait a little longer!
I had to be in Kings Lynn for a 6:30am booking, which meant a 3am start - ouch. I was in the gate when they opened at 5:45, and tipped right away so I couldn’t complain. The next step was back to rural Norfolk, drop the trailer, and take another to Cambridge to unload.
Having to wear a hard hat with visor and long trousers just to open some curtains seems excessive, but I guess it’s just the norm now. I can’t see being made to wear trousers when it’s really hot to be good for your health? Once that was done I just had to run back empty.
