<p>I recently worked on two projects that were polar opposites in terms of build time. The first one was our really long-term project car Track Rat. Believe it or not, we started that Camaro project in 2008. Yeah, that&rsquo;s 11 years ago. There&rsquo;s a million reasons (or excuses if you roll that way) why it took that long. Some involved waiting on parts, some involved scraping up more cash, and others were just an overall lack of time to push the project forward. Forward, it&rsquo;s a direction we all want to go with our projects, but alas, such is not that way projects go at times. Just like you, we get caught up in life and other tasks, which makes our project cars take the proverbial back seat. But, after 11 years, our 1968 Camaro finally hit the streets. Well, it actually hit the track first, which is an accelerated way to find out all the things you didn&rsquo;t get quite right. But it survived and did great, with only minor gremlins. We have a couple of weeks of tweaking and tuning before the car is firmly in the done category, but our patience with the decade-long project paid off. You&rsquo;ll see more on our Chassisworks Camaro in our coverage of the 2019 Super Chevy Muscle Car Challenge presented by Falken Tires.</p><p>On the other end of the build-time spectrum is the 1955 Chevy we&rsquo;re building for our CPP Week To Wicked presented by Golden Star Classic Auto Parts deal. A few months ago, this &rsquo;55 was a pile of sheet metal, and now that it&rsquo;s painted we&rsquo;re turning the shell into a running, driving car in a mere five days! Yep, one project took us 11 years and the other took, at most, a couple of months. And while we would all prefer the build time of the &rsquo;55 Chevy, the truth is that what matters is getting your project done, whether it&rsquo;s 11 days, 11 weeks, or 11 years. There is no right answer since we all build at our own speed based on the challenges of life. So, if you have a project languishing in the garage don&rsquo;t despair, just know that if our &rsquo;68 Track Rat project can get done then there&rsquo;s hope for anyone.</p>
