The Goal Was Simple: Create One Badass Titan!

A Hardcore Titan

Billy weekley from Apopka, Florida, became involved in the truck scene after buying his brand new 1987 Toyota pickup. A pro BMX racer, Billy’s mini was the perfect bike hauler. About that same time, he met a guy with a lowered Toyota truck and liked the look. Before long, he started going to shows and, within a very short time, became intrigued with the slammed truck scene. He joined a few different truck clubs before starting his own club, Hardcore, in 1989.

Now in its thirtieth year, this delightful band of stand-up hooligans is still a very close-knit family and always active in the club scene. Billy has owned more than a dozen custom trucks since that first Toyota, but his new Titan is the best of the bunch.

“I wanted to step up the game,” he told us. “My goal was to build one of the most badass Nissan Titans out there.”

An effective strategy for climbing to the top of the heap is to rely on talented professionals. Jimmy Graham of Jimmy’s Rod & Customs in Edgewater, Florida, specializes in suspension and metal fabrication. Over the years, his artistry has been featured in more than a dozen magazines with several of his vehicles gracing the cover. Jimmy and Billy go back a decade or two, so it was natural for them to collaborate on the design. Jimmy had all the chassis elements already established and was eager to get started. The final voting member, Billy’s wife Kelly, is an equally avid enthusiast, so with three yeses, the project began in earnest.

The brand-new 2018 Nissan Titan Crew Cab had just 750 miles on it when the teardown began. (Billy says, “We don’t need no stinkin’ warranties!”) There was also little need for conversation since Jimmy and his right-hand man, Tim Haywood, already had a proven plan that Billy was on board with. The goal was simple: Create a stock floor body drop laid out on 26-inch wheels.
