THE GERRARI BOYS Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Tung once again finish on the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) podium, but this time they made it to the global platform at the mother event in Malaysia. Since its inception, RFC India had never witnessed an Indian team bagging top spot up until 2016, when the Gerrari boys beat the Malaysian drivers in their Gurkhas to bag top spot. With a free ticket to the main event in Malaysia, Gurmeet and Kirpal set off to compete in one of the world’s toughest off-road competition – the RFC Malaysia.

How was the experience?

"RFC Malaysia was the experience of a lifetime. To represent the country as Team India, win a trophy and bring it home was a different feeling altogether. It was an honour for us to be recognised as part of the global RFC fraternity. Living in tents, long transport stages, gruelling obstacles, challenging terrain, a different vehicle; if I had to sum all of this up in one word, it would be awesome. Well we were the only Indians there so communication was a huge problem, not only with participants, but with our service team as well. After a while we did feel a little homesick, but that is all part of the experience."
