Ousted from top post in Nissan and Mitsubishi.
The decision to discharge Ghosn of his post as Chairman of Nissan was taken by the board of directors of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. which met on November 22, 2018 at the company’s global headquarters in Yokohama.
At the beginning of the session, the board acknowledged the significance of the matter and confirmed that the long-standing Alliance partnership with Renault remains unchanged and that the mission is to minimise the potential impact and confusion on the day-to-day cooperation among the Alliance partners. The Alliance consists of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi. All three companies have cross-holdings in each other.
According to a press release, after reviewing a detailed report of the internal investigation, the board voted unanimously:
1. To discharge Carlos Ghosn as Chairman of the Board
2. To discharge Carlos Ghosn as Representative Director

BMW iX E-Car Achieves 5-Stars In Euro NCAP Test
The BMW iX premium electric car which has been launched in India, has achieved five-star ratings in all test categories of the Euro NCAP crash test. In the assessment of adult occupant protection, the testers highlighted among other features the effectiveness of the new interactive airbag between the driver and front passenger seats, which provides additional protection against injury in the event of a side collision. Child safety in the rear of the BMW iX was also given the highest possible score for both frontal and side collisions.
