In 1975 I left school at age16 and trained as a silversmith in a factory. Subsequently, I learned to do a form of deep engraving called “hand chasing” using a hammer and tools. This experience honed my eye and refined my skills to enable me to go from making terrible glue-encrusted models to today’s enterprise whereby I can scratch build complete engines in scale.
