I recently got my first loaner bike experience with the Yamaha Tracer MT-07 (unless you Google it in which case you’ll get more hits with “Tracer 700”. I wish they would just commit to a name already!)
It was a fun few days during which I picked the bike up and headed out to the hill leading up to Fort Klapperkop to film a video with it. And for such a little bike it left a pretty substantial mark on me. Two weeks later and I’m still thinking about it. But with these marks still standing the test of time on me, you too should know a few things about it.
You WILL want one
You might expect it to be a pretty insignificant bike, especially if you’ve ridden bigger bikes in its sport-touring class. But it’s just a fun and satisfying bike. No matter what else you have in the garage you will always find an excuse to take it out. Nothing seems to stand in its way, from traffic to bad weather, it conquers it all and even convinces you that you’re having a good time on the ride despite the hindrances. And even if you’re still shaking your head at this point, I guarantee you… YOU WILL WANT ONE.
Its size helps it, rather than hinders it
