Vespa GTS 300 SUPER HPE
Personally, I can’t think of a more iconic brand in the world of scooter manufacturers than Vespa. Unless you’ve been living in a cave since birth, most people are familiar with the brand and the hi-end status they have garnered over the years with their iconic retro styling and the immense popularity Vespa has in Europe. I’ve had the pleasure of riding the new GTS 300 Super HPE, with what, in Vespa’s words, is the most powerful engine within a Vespa scooter to date so I share my thoughts and experience on it.
The GTS 300 HPE is released in 5 variants starting with the base model GTS 300 HPE along with a touring model as well as the Super, SuperSport & SuperTech models. For this review, I received the Super in Vespa’s Rosso Red, with the other super colours being Nero Black, Bianco White and Giallo Estate (Yellow). The styling stays true to Vespa’s signature look with a few new additions such as the hexagonal side grills, sportier side panels (thanks to the cut-outs) & modernized LED lighting. The super also receives gloss black rims with a “diamond finish”, which I think it gives it a sportier feel along with a red front suspension spring vs the chrome on the base model.
