TRIBE(R) INSTINCTS

The Renault Triber is an innovative concept for urban families that was designed, developed and manufactured in India, for Indian customers. We take a look at its different traits and what makes it so special for Indians
TRIBE(R) INSTINCTS

THE TRIBER IS THE RESULT OF A JOINT EFFORT BY RENAULT TEAMS FROM INDIA AND EUROPE AND BOASTS AN ORIGINAL, MODERN AND ATTRACTIVE DESIGN

In India, people like to travel with their family or as a “tribe”, without having to spend a fortune on a big car. The smart, user-friendly and ultra-modular Triber can carry up to seven adults while remaining under the four-meter-long bar. It is an attractive vehicle, is spacious and ultra-modular, but not at the expense of design.

The interiors look functional and utilitarian but at the same time the cabin is roomy and there are lots of thoughtful features as well. The instrument panel is all-digital with a unique tachometer, a digital read-out for the speed, and a multi-information display that has all the information. The AMT is meant to make your life easier in the dreaded rush hour traffic plaguing most cities and that’s something it does well enough

Positioned between the climate control and engine start button, this space is specifically created to safely tuck away smartphone away from anyone’s glare. The 1.0-litre three cylinder petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm is a surprise package

Luggage carrying capacity like the people-carrying capacity of the Triber is very flexible with 84-litres of space available in a 7-seater configuration, 320 litres available when it is turned into a 6-seater and 625 litres when it is used as a 5-seater. If one compares with other sub-4m cars, the Triber offers as much space with 6-people on board as most of the others do with 5 people on board
