Ready To Tread Anywhere

The G-Class has always been a special SUV. It could go anywhere and o anything. But the new generation model now offers a lot more. Vitoldas Milius gets behind the wheel and tells us the story

Ready To Tread Anywhere

The shackles of everyday life! One surely wants to break free from it and escape to a world where they can’t find you. A place so remote that getting there means traversing through terrain never imagined before. But the big thing is that to get there, one needs a transport. That transport then could be the Mercedes G-Class. The G-Class then is completely new. Far from what we get in the AMG version. It has returned to its roots. The identity of a proper SUV is reinstated thanks to a ladder frame chassis, massive ground clearance, a proper transfer case and triple differential locks. Visually though one look and it reminds one of the original which came in 1979. All the essentials are still there. Hence we get the round headlamps, the large fender top mounted winkers and even claddings all around to save from those scrapes. Even the central locking emits a loud snapping noise much like a proper shot in the dark. As far as dimensions go, the G-Class is longer and considerably wider than before. This in turn results in the GClass offering even more space before.
