The HR-V from Honda is essentially a city SUV. However Honda has now launched a ‘Sport’ version which comes with more muscles. Vitoldas Milius gets behind the wheel
The compact SUV market is loaded with options and it is here that the new Honda HR-V will find its space when it arrives in India soon. However the aim of Honda is to infuse some more excitement into the segment. Hence the variant we have here is the Sport. The Sport comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol which is good for 180bhp and 220Nm of torque. One can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT box as well. The suspension on the Sport variant has been uprated too. The Sport comes with synaptic damping control which is essentially a fancy way of describing uprated dampers. The exhaust has also been retuned to offer a slightly deeper rumble.
