STEWART AND CATHY CAMPBELL’S 1929 DODGE DA COUPE

Stewart “Soup” Campbell has been busily working on this very rare 1929 Dodge DA coupe while putting the finishing touches to his ’47 Chevy Fleetline that you’ll read about over the page. He has owned this coupe for 36 years and finally this magnificent Mopar is getting the full hot rod treatment. The lower 150mm of the body has either been repaired or rebuilt, a new rear beaver panel has been made, a few dings knocked out and a few holes filled.

It boasts Hemi firepower under the hood and lots of neat metal work, including a filled roof that has been chopped two inches. All of the interior trim has been custom fabricated in steel panels, featuring the Mopar “M” logo inside the doors and tuck and roll style pleat swages rolled into the panels. Even the seat has been custom made in steel. The interior also features the shortened and modified dash from a ’55 Dodge, a custom collapsible steering column made using XJ6 Jaguar components and a custom pedal assembly.
