<p>The KOA Kustom Nationals at Phillip Island was held a week later than usual to stay clear of the big tourist rush on the island over the New Year holiday period. Since the event was moved from the Phillip Island race circuit a couple of years ago, it is now held from the middle of the day on Saturday through to 8:oopm in the evening at San Remo foreshore and on Sunday it moves to the jetty area at Cowes. The Saturday show at San Remo was huge, filling the entire allocated space with a fantastic collection of customs and special cars, made up mostly of street rods and classics. The organisers try to assemble the show and shine with all of the top full Kustoms and street rods in the main exhibit area and this worked very well on this occasion, the entire &quot;select&quot; area being filled with really high-quality cars. Sunday was much the same in downtown Cowes but the numbers had reduced a bit due to some participants electing to attend on one day only.</p><p>This year the Kustom Nats was a drive up and pay at the gate affair, so there was no pre-entry to pay, or entry form information gathered.
