Joshua Case's cool Model A...
LARRY O'TOOLE
A Tribute to Darryl
Being a second-generation hot rodder has its benefits and Joshua Case can certainly attest to that advantage. He was well into a ’32 Ford Tudor project when this Model A roadster became available. Dad, Malcolm has been around rodding for a long time and he recognised the value in purchasing the roadster, even though it was slightly accident damaged for the good value price of $10,000.00. Even though he was building the Deuce, Joshua always had a soft spot for Model As, thanks in no small part to his association with family friend and accomplished hot rod builder of Model As, the late Darryl Kuhnemann. Darryl would certainly be impressed with how Joshua’s Model A turned out.

The roadster was purchased at Cooly Rocks On in 2015 and as soon as it was home, Joshua decided to set the Deuce aside for the time being and get straight into rebuilding the Model A. The car was stripped down and many changes made to bring it back in the American hot rod style that Joshua and Malcolm favour. (One look at Malcolm’s Deuce Tudor will confirm they know how to achieve their goals!)
