Art & Beyond Interview With Barbara Walder
Art & Beyond|November/December 2016

Living and painting in the Principality of Liechtenstein, Barbara Walder builds her pieces layer by layer, and through reduction discovers the answers to her questions about essence and balance. Recently, her work has been exhibited at Art Shopping au Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, and she is currently preparing to show in Switzerland and to have her first exhibitions in the United States.

Art & Beyond Interview With Barbara Walder

Q. Where do you find your inspiration?

A. My inspiration arises from observations of light, shadow, and rhythmic movement in nature: reflections of sunlight, intensity of wind movements on water surfaces, shadowing caused by clouds, in the flora, and reflections on buildings. The associated changes in color trigger an explorable fascination. These are the observations that I bring to my work.

Q. How would you describe your creative process?
