Designed by the architects of the Burj Khalifa, Address Sky View is set to become another of Dubai’s compelling landmarks. Conceived by Skidmore, Owings & Mer-rill (SOM), the architectural team behind the world’s tallest tower, the 260m skyscraper hotel serves as a perfect complement to the thriving world-class lifestyle in Downtown Dubai.
Made up of two 60-level towers, connected by a sky bridge, the architecturally impressive structure is a striking addition to the city’s skyline.
The 220m link between the two glass towers covers three floors and is also home to a 70m-long infinity pool that can lay claim to some of the best views in town.
However, our journey starts on the ground floor, where interior design works with the hotel lobby’s architectural elements – solid flanks and a strong existing canopy of architecture create a portal with framing views.
Designer Mark Eacottand consultants Hirsch Bender Associates (HBA) Singapore take on a theme of capturing a moment and run it into the fully glazed hotel lobby façade that focuses externally, offering no distraction from the awe-inspiring Burj Khalifa.
We soon discover it’s not the only feature that encourages the eyes of hotel guests to turn up.
The distinctive sky bridge joining the two towers is made up of eight unique units, including the infinity pool with amenity deck, which offers spectacular 360-degree vistas of Downtown Dubai and panoramic views of the Gulf.
