The BBC broadcaster and newsreader, who turns 55 on 2 October, lives in west London with her husband Mark Sandell, their two sons and two dogs.
WAKE UP If I'm working, I wake up at about 7.30am. I put the radio on straight away and listen to Radio 4, and look on the BBC News app just to get up to date. After that I'll go downstairs, cuddle my cocker spaniels and make a cup of tea.
