Sean Weekly
Sean Weekly is a professional wildlife photographer and photography guide based in Portishead, UK. His work has been internationally published by Canon UK, BBC Wildlife Magazine and The Times among others. As well as capturing the world of wildlife, he runs exclusive wildlife workshops and one-to-one mentoring lessons.
Life is full of surprises, especially when it comes to wildlife photography. Sean Weekly knows this all too well. Despite enjoying a successful career as a photographer, Sean’s journey has been anything but predictable.
His path led him from the military to Singapore, where he first discovered a world of diverse nature and wildlife. Living among long-tailed macaques and encountering reptiles and tropical birds on a daily basis, Sean’s passion for wildlife grew effortlessly. “It was a different world, one that created many memories and fuelled my ongoing passion for wildlife and photography,” he says.
Today, Sean is an esteemed wildlife photographer. From the Kerkini mountains on the Bulgaria-Greece border to the volcanic Lake Akan in Japan, he travels far and wide to capture the full diversity of species that inhabit our planet. With his focus on depth of field, he skilfully captures the main actors of the natural world in great detail.
Sean is also a sought-after mentor, guiding aspiring photographers towards their own careers in wildlife photography. He spends most of his time out in the wild, but when he’s not overseas on the next mission, he photographs local wildlife in the UK.
