Sanctuary launches appeal to replace pool for resident seals

CORNWALL'S seal sanctuary is appealing to the generosity of supporters to help fund a new pool to house its residents.

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, near Helston, has set a goal of £1,250 for its Big Give Green Match Fund campaign.

The existing pools date from the sanctuary’s creation back in 1975 and, as it celebrates its half-century, it says it's hoping to secure a bright future for the next 50 years.

The redevelopment will provide bigger pools with better filtration and more space for the charity's animal care staff.
