CHARITIES at breaking point this Christmas face a "heartbreaking" decision on turning people away.
The soaring cost of living means record numbers are seeking help, yet the charities themselves are in crisis.
Some 40% of organisations are at full capacity and 12% will be forced to turn the needy down, research by the Charities Aid Foundation reveals.
It comes as 68% of us are cutting back on spending and 47% think this Christmas will be worse than previous years, a Focaldata poll for campaign group 38 Degrees found.
