Taiwan's Defence Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng is having trouble sleeping.
"The cross-strait relationship is very serious, I'm worried every day," he said during a legislative hearing in Taipei on March 7, in response to a question on his assessment of the severity of cross-strait tensions.
"The current situation is very tense and, if it's not handled properly, I'm concerned that an accident may cause conflict," the 70-year-old said, adding that he is not sleeping well at night.
