CM Majhi takes government to Sambalpur

In a groundbreaking departure from tradition, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi turned Sambalpur into the epicenter of governance on Monday, conducting the first-ever CM Grievance Cell outside Bhubaneswar, in a powerful display of his commitment to people-centric governance.
Joined by ten ministers and senior bureaucrats, the CM held a massive public hearing that left thousands of citizens both surprised and heartened.
This is the first time in Odisha's political history that the entire state machinery—ministers, top officials, and the Chief Minister himself—operated from outside the state capital to directly engage with citizens. Over 1,400 grievances were addressed in a single day, with around 1,000 people pre-registering online and 400 more walking in with their concerns.
"This is not just a hearing—it is a statement," said CM Majhi. "We are taking the government to the people. Today it is Sambalpur; tomorrow, it will be another region. Odisha's government is now mobile, accessible, and accountable."
