It was hearing a plea filed by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) challenging the deceptive advertisements by Patanjali.
A two-judge bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah said that the SLA acted after the court came down heavily and passed certain directions against Patanjali.
Earlier this week, the SLA filed an affidavit apologising for its earlier inaction and also stated that it has filed a criminal complaint against Patanjali Ayurved and its founders Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, for violating the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act.
Uttarakhand SLA, in its affidavit filed before the top court, tendered an "unconditional and unqualified apology" to the SC for any "inadvertent and unintentional" non-compliance with the orders of it in the Patanjali case.
