Rao Meets Abdul Rahiman's Family, Offers Condolences

DISTRICT Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Saturday visited the house of Abdul Rahiman who was brutally murdered in Kolthamajalu in Bantwal taluk and offered condolences to his family.
The minister also visited Kalandar Shafi, who was attacked in the incident and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city. MLC Ivan D'Souza and former minister B Ramanath Rai accompanied the minister. Rao also paid a visit to the residence of former MLC and president of Dakshina Kannada Muslim Central Committee K S Mohammed Masood.
Earlier in the day, members of the Muslim community who met the minister in the city police commissioner's office requested him to take steps to nip any attempt to disturb peace and order in the district in the bud.
