No salary & food, 48 workers stuck in Tunisia for 6 months seek govt help

FORTY-EIGHT workers from Jharkhand’s Giridih, Bokaro and Hazaribagh districts have been stranded in the African country of Tunisia for the past several months.
Seeking the Indian government's intervention through a video message, the stranded workers said their salaries have been withheld for four to six months and they have run out of food.
According to the migrants, they were promised jobs as company employees but discovered upon landing in Tunisia that the positions were contractual.
