EXTERNAL Affairs minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday asserted that India has moved from the attitude of 'chalta hai' to 'hoga kaise nahin' as it makes rapid strides towards Viksit Bharat in Amrit Kaal.

Inaugurating the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025 here along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Jaishankar said the younger generation have a key role to play in the endeavour for Viksit Bharat.

He said this is period when the youth will come to the front ranks of the society and lead the nation.

"A large part of our efforts is to give the right motivation to the younger generation to accelerate their efforts," he said.

He said, while development itself is a very complex task, it becomes much easier when there is confidence that nothing is beyond us.

"I still recall some time ago an observation by the famous badminton star, PV Sindhu, on why Prime Minister Modi is a youth icon.
