Teenage girl seriously hurt after being hit by car

A TEENAGE girl has suffered life threatening injuries after being hit by a car.
Two 15-year-old girls were struck by a white MG ZS as they crossed a road in the High Heaton area of Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon.
‘The collision is understood to have occurred on Newton Road, near Jesmond Park Academy, shortly after 3.30pm.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene where one girl was found to have life-threatening injuries.
