PLYMOUTH passengers were among those on a TUI flight from Exeter who had to disembark due to the plane being 'too heavy' to take off.
The incident took place on Saturday when excited holidaymakers waiting to take off for Turkey were told to get off the plane.
According to Herald sister website Devon Live, passengers watched as luggage was removed 'at random' due to the an 'issue with the weight! One fed up passenger claimed they were told the plane was carrying too much fuel.
However, holiday company TUI has since confirmed the incident was down to a weight restriction performance issue.
The Herald understands there were Plymouth residents among the passenger list.
