POORAN MAGIC POWERS LSG TO WIN
  • 5 Average wickets LSG have taken per game in IPL 2024

Nicholas Pooran's magical knock of 75 was enough for the Lucknow Super Giants to consign Mumbai Indians to a 18run defeat in their last game of IPL 2024, here at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

Chasing 215 for victory, half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (68) and Naman Dhir (56) only delayed the inevitable as the Mumbai Indians were restricted to 196/6 in 20 overs as they finished bottom of the table. Naveen-ul-Haq and Ravis Bishnoi took two wickets apiece for Lucknow Super Giants.

Nicholas Pooran's scintillating knock and KL Rahul's half-century helped Lucknow Super Giants post a competitive 214/6 in 20 overs.

Pooran's 75 off 29 balls comprising five fours and eight maximums at a strike rate of 258 and Rahul's 55 off 41 balls helped LSG reach the 200-plus total.
