NORTH Shields have been challenged to use their FA Vase win at Cheadle Town as inspiration for a major improvement in their league form over the coming weeks.

Brian Smith's side battled through a tough away tie with a penalty shootout win in the North West.
A home tie against Liversedge was their reward - but focus must now go on pushing themselves back into the playoff picture in the Northern League's top tier.
That process gets underway with a visit to bottom of the table Whickham tonight - and Smith has delivered a challenge to his players.
