A special festive lights display at a Perth home is once again aiming to get locals in the Christmas spiritand raise money for two good causes.
For the fifth year in a row, Alistair Smith and Grant MacDonald from Beechgrove Place in Perth will be opening up their garden to the public and showing off a spectacular display of lights.
It's all in support of their chosen charities, Bone Cancer Research UKfor their work on finding a cure for Ewing's Sarcoma - and Dravet Syndrome UK.
The pair have already raised more than £26,000 for the charities with their displays in previous years - and hope to break through the £30,000 mark with this year’s festivities.
But for all of the festive fun, there is a serious tale lying underneath - with the pair's nephew, Gavin Russell, passing away four years from Ewing’s Sarcoma at the age of 20.
The form of bone cancer which typically grows in cells around the bones and tissue near bones, affecting those between the ages of 10 and 20.
Alistair continued: "There is so much research needed into bone cancer and how it affects teenagers and to do that, a charity called Liberty's Legacy was set up.
