Satish Shah, who had been battling kidney-related health issues and passed away Saturday in Mumbai, has left behind a legacy of laughter, wit, and an unparalleled contribution to Indian television and cinema.

Shah's career spanned over four decades wherein he worked in theatre, films, and television. Born on June 25, 1951, in Bombay (now Mumbai), his sharp timing and nuanced performances in acting quickly caught the attention of industry insiders. He made his film debut with supporting roles in Hindi cinema during the late 1970s and 1980s.
