Carnival time as women bring colour to Nightwalk

MORE than 1,000 women filled the Tarka Trail with colour and celebration during a special evening walk in aid of North Devon Hospice.
The Nightwalk event, held on Saturday, May 17, brought together ladies and girls from across the region who walked from Bideford Rugby Club to Instow or Barnstaple, covering distances of three or 10 miles. Participants were treated to a night of carnival-style festivities, including a new event village, a vibrant tunnel of colour, and a silent disco.
Among those taking part was a group walking in memory of their friend Carol, who was cared for by the hospice.
“We do Nightwalk every year and this year’s was just brilliant - we absolutely loved it,” they said.
