Summer holidays can be a tough time for most parents, we get it. Hearing refrains of "I am bored!" from your kids can be tiresome. And while it's tempting to give into the lure of digital devices and games, you know that keeping your children physically active is necessary. Besides keeping them fit, being active keeps them mentally stimulated too. If you were looking for ideas on how to keep your little ones busy and healthy during their summer holidays, here's some expert advice. "It's an old school suggestion with zero sophistication but encouraging your kids to go out and play with their colony kids works wonders," says Abhilash Fernandes, a strength and conditioning coach and personal training specialist based in Bengaluru. Engaging in simple games like hopscotch, cricket, football and badminton can help build a sense of camaraderie among kids; it may even forge long-lasting friendships, he notes. Playing
