GLOBAL music icon Barry Manilow has sought to ease the concerns of worried fans over his upcoming Co-op Live arena gig by revealing a 'back-up plan' amid chaos at the as-yet-to-open venue.
Copacabana and Mandy star Barry is due to play Co-op Live on Sunday, May 19 four days after its new opening date. On Thursday night, Take That moved their run of Co-op Live gigs from May 7-12 to the AO Arena, after the new £365m venue confirmed it would not be ready. Co-op Live is now due to open with Elbow's gig on May 14. Now Barry's team have confirmed they've also reserved the AO Arena on May 19, just in case any further problems arise. The extraordinary move was confirmed in a statement released by Barry's husband Garry Kief on his official X page last night.
