Among the notables whose playing rights are in the balance going into this event are Matt Wallace, David Lipsky, Victor Perez and Beau Hossler.

A win at the fall series events not only comes with a two-year PGA Tour exemption, but also entries into all four Majors, the Sentry and Players Championship.

The last four winners of the RSM Classic have been first time PGA Tour winners.
