Jonathan Sweeney’s charge has won a bumper (by 16 lengths) and a novice hurdle (beating solid yardstick Idas Boy) around Thurles.
He had solid form in staying novice hurdles last season and made an encouraging start to his chasing career in Galway last month, enough to suggest he should be capable of winning a beginners of this type.
