Luckley may be the Michael Bublé of Super League and he's loving it

SAM Luckley has likened himself to Michael Bublé but he and Hull KR won't fall in love with themselves.

The Geordie prop is having the time of his life of late. Not only have his beloved Newcastle United finally won a major trophy but the enigmatic front-row scored at St James' Park when KR visited a fortnight ago for Magic Weekend.

They followed up by winning a Challenge Cup semi-final last Saturday before it was announced on Wednesday that the Super League leaders would be heading to Las Vegas in 2026.

Speaking ahead of today's visit from strugglers Huddersfield, asked if life can get much better, a surprised Luckley joked: “I thought all my interviewing would be done now with Magic finished.

“I feel a bit like Michael Bublé: defrosted at Christmas and then put away for the rest of the year! But people are still wanting to talk to me.
