The original HVR, and what it offers

The proprietor of the Bangalore branch, Ravi Kumar mentions that the butter comes all the way from Hassan. I won't be surprised if it is true. The dollop of the freshly churned white butter makes a world of difference to the dose. It is easily one of my personal favourites in Bangalore.

The benne has a rich taste, but the aftertaste is slightly sour and a bit umami. Something you almost never find in commercial butter. The combination of a piece of that open dose with the palya, fresh kayi chutney, and a tiny bit of this butter is truly blissful.
