Amarillo singer Christie spine agony
TONY Christie is “living on painkillers” due to chronic spinal pain caused by an onstage fall.
The 82-year-old singer is most famous for his song (Is This The Way To) Amarillo, which was a huge hit in 1971 and then again in 2005 when he rerecorded it for Comic Relief with a video starring Peter Kay.
He tripped over a monitor as he ran on to the stage for a concert in Essen, Germany, and damaged three discs in his spine.
