TONY ASGHAR is delighted Tam Courts has led Dundee United into Europe and silenced the critics who questioned his credentials as a manager.

Asghar copped heavy criticism for the appointment and admitted it was a horrible period.

Asghar admitted: "Tam has done a fantastic job. There was scepticism when we made the appointment. People said it was a gamble.
"I will say it again, it was a calculated risk. For me, it was never a gamble. I knew what I was getting.
