BRITAIN will boost defence spending to £87billion-a-year by 2030, Rishi Sunak has revealed.
The Prime Minister made the funding commitment as he said the world was entering its most dangerous phase since the end of the Cold War,
On a visit to Poland yesterday, Sunak pledged to hike spending on defence to 2.5 per cent of the UK's GDP by the end of the decade.
Funding will rise from £64.6billion in 2024 to £78.2billion in 2028, and then £87billion in 2030/31, after months of pressure from Tory MPs.
