- Kate tells jury she felt like she was his ‘slave’
- Court hears steamy claim of the couple’s ‘rough’ sex life
KATE Greville had to do everything Ryan Giggs ordered her to otherwise she feared there would be a backlash, she told jurors yesterday.
On the third day of the former Manchester United star’s trial over assault and coercive behaviour charges, his former girlfriend claimed she felt like a slave to his every need.
And a string of steamy messages shown to the court gave a glimpse into the couple’s sex life.
Speaking from behind a curtain in the witness box she said: “When Ryan said do something, I did it.
“There was resistance sometimes but he made me feel that I had to do everything he said, otherwise there would be consequences.”
Chris Daw QC, defending, referred to a statement Kate made to police recently and asked: “What you said was you became a slave to his every need and his every demand, is that true?” The PR executive replied: “That is how he made me feel, yes.”
She told the court her relationship with Giggs, 48, who denies the charges, started in 2013 when she was in a “controlling marriage” and noticed he was interested in her.
AFFAIR
Kate said: “There was things about him that definitely were luring me into a relationship.”
Mr Daw asked: “This was not just two consenting adults, both equally married at the time, who embarked on an affair?”
