'So many options' open to students at a testing time

COUNCIL OUTLINES SUPPORT AVAILABLE WITH RESULTS DAY LOOMING

ADVICE and support is on offer to students receiving their exam results over the coming week.

Post-16 results will be announced tomorrow, while GCSE results are revealed a week later on Thursday, August 21.

Thousands of students will be receiving their results and thinking about their next steps, and students who are not happy with their results should check with their school or college for more information.

Derbyshire County Council has highlighted a range of free advice on a range of options for their futures whether it's job hunting, apprenticeships, training or routes on to more education.

Meanwhile, an event at Swadlincote Adult Community Education Centre on Monday, September 1, will feature experts providing careers information, advice and guidance to help young people find local opportunities and support tailored to their needs.
