NATIONAL FOREST SECURES LOTTERY GRANT TO STAGE EVENTS ACROSS EAST STAFFORDSHIRE
ARTS and nature initiatives are set to take place across Burton upon Trent thanks to a £74,000 National Lottery grant.
Organised by the National Forest, the events will provide opportunities for communities to creatively connect with nature and local green spaces.
There will be four artist-led commissions running throughout August and September, including a poetry exhibition at Burton library and a puppetry and storytelling show in local green spaces.
Jo Maker, arts and creativity manager at the National Forest, said: "Creative experiences in nature can be transformative, they inspire connection, wellbeing and a deeper sense of belonging.
"Through this programme, we're excited to open up new ways for communities to engage with the landscape and with each other."
