Pathum skin Cats, Kirins roar and Dragons soar

BG Pathum United, Muang Thong United and Ratchaburi advanced to the semi-finals of the Chang FA Cup on Wednesday night.
Pathum won 3-1 at Nakhon Ratchasima, Muang Thong routed Sukhothai 5-2 and Ratchaburi hammered League 2 side Phrae United 7-1.
Marco Ballini put the visiting Pathum ahead after just 16 minutes and Ilhan Fandi doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time at the 80th Anniversary Stadium.
Dennis Murillo scored from a free-kick in the 63rd minute to cut the deficit but Raniel put the tie beyond the Swat Cats' reach with a penalty after the Brazilian forward was fouled by Supawit Romphopak in the area with 10 minutes remaining.
